Duisburg, GERMANY – On Saturday 23 September, Venator’s Duisburg facility celebrated its 125th anniversary with a large outdoor event. In attendance were employees, local governmental representatives and neighbors of the facility to mark the special occasion.
The facility, which opened in 1892, produces a broad range of titanium dioxide pigments and functional additives for specialty applications.
Michael Vössing, Director of Venator’s Duisburg facility, said: “It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our anniversary with everyone who works at our facility, as well as the families of our associates, our neighbors and local representatives. We had a great attendance with over 1,000 people celebrating the day with us.”
Antje Gerber, Vice President of Venator’s Specialty Business, said: "I’m delighted to have been able to take part in this milestone event. The site has mastered some significant changes over the past 125 years – most recently with the completion of Venator’s IPO in August. I am really looking forward to the next chapter for our facility."
