WYNYARD, UK – Venator, is proud to have been shortlisted for four highly respected industry awards by the British Coatings Federation (BCF). The nominations recognise the calibre of Venator’s people and the company’s purpose, with two employees up for individual accolades, and the business acknowledged for its commitment to sustainable innovation and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
The BCF 2025 Awards shortlist was curated by an independent panel of judges, and recognises outstanding performance, innovation and leadership across the British coatings industry. Venator is recognised in the following categories:
Sustainable Innovation – V-PCF Tool
In 2024, the business launched the Venator Product Carbon Footprint (V-PCF) Tool – a digital platform that calculates cradle-to-gate product carbon footprints in line with ISO 14067. This innovative tool provides Venator customers with transparent, product-specific carbon data that supports their Scope 3 reporting.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Venator launched a new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programme in 2024 to embed inclusive practices across the business. This internal initiative is already driving real progress with the business increasing the number and percentage of new female hires.
Rising Star – James Lund
James Lund is an Instrument Technician at Venator. His technical ability, commitment to innovation and professional drive has already earnt him multiple academic and company awards. His future-focused mindset and leadership potential make him a deserving finalist in this competitive category.
Young Leader – Jack Harrison
Jack Harrison is Operations Manager at Venator. Since joining the business in 2022, he has progressed rapidly, and now leads operations at the company’s Greatham manufacturing site. His technical expertise, team leadership and impact across manufacturing make him a standout young leader.
BCF CEO Tom Bowtell remarked, “The competition was incredibly strong again this year, perhaps one of the most impressive showings we've ever seen, with over 70 submissions from across the industry.”

Winners of the BCF Awards 2025 will be announced at an awards ceremony on Wednesday 12th November at the Carden Park Hotel in Cheshire.
