Venator apprentices celebrate success
Duisburg, Germany – Ten apprentices are celebrating after being offered jobs at Venator Germany GmbH in Duisburg. The appointments were announced as the apprentices completed work placements at the company and finished their vocational studies.
For the past three years, the apprentices have been working at Venator, developing their skills as chemical, electronics and mechatronic technicians, and learning about the world of pigments and additives. Thanks to their performance at vocational school and the quality of their practical work at Venator, all ten apprentices were eligible to sit their final vocational examinations half a year early - and all passed successfully, with two pupils achieving an overall Grade A.
All ten apprentices will now continue to work at Venator, the global expert pigment and additive company, which is based in Duisburg Homberg, and is a leader in the field of titanium dioxide, color pigments and functional additives.
Congratulating the apprentices, Site Director Michael Vössing from Venator, said: “Well done to all of our apprentices on their excellent performance both at Venator and at vocational school. We are proud of their achievements and delighted we could offer all of them more work. Investing in the next generation is something we take very seriously at Venator. Every year, we take on new apprentices, offering them internships aligned with their career aspirations. Currently we have 51 apprentices employed in five different occupations, with new opportunities arising every year.”
In September 2018, another 18 apprentices will have the opportunity to start work at Venator’s Duisburg site, the selection process has already begun, and applications can be submitted by emailing: [email protected]. Interested school leavers can apply for apprenticeships as chemical technicians, chemical laboratory assistants, electronics technicians and mechatronics technicians for the year 2019. To find out more, you can meet the Venator team on Saturday 22 September 2018, as the business will be holding a Open day at its Duisburg site.
