Visit Venator at the American Coatings Show at Stand 731
10 to 12 April 2018, Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis, Indiana
Wynyard, UK – Visitors to the American Coatings Show (ACS) next week can catch up with Venator - previously Huntsman Pigments & Additives. Venator has a wealth of experience, a large team of specialists and a vast portfolio of well-known products, proven to improve the processing and performance of coatings and inks. Exhibiting at ACS for the first time since becoming an independent company, Venator will be promoting a variety of products, many of which are made in America.
For formulators looking to inject color into their coatings, Venator will be shining the spotlight on its broad portfolio of color pigments, including its premium range of Copperas Red TM products. Combining high chemical purity with exceptional mill stability, Venator’s Copperas Red TM pigments deliver intense color alongside good chemical stability, very high heat resistance and excellent suspension properties. Copperas Red TM pigments available from Venator range from the lightest, truest salmon shades through medium and deeper colors to the darkest and bluest reds.
Venator will also talk to ACS attendees about the benefits of formulating with different titanium dioxide grades and functional additives. Venator is a leading producer of titanium dioxide and knows the chemistry of this naturally occurring mineral inside out. Venator’s ultrafine titanium dioxide grades for the coatings industry can provide UV protection, make silicate paints self-cleaning and create flip-flop color effects when combined with metal flakes. Venator makes a range of titanium dioxide pigments that can leave a lasting impression in ink applications, regardless of print method. Venator also offers a variety of additives for the coatings industry including BLANC FIXE™ and SACHTOPERSE® barium sulfates, and Lithopone, a white pigment based on a co-precipitated zinc sulfide and barium sulfate mixture. These additives have a range of functions from improving titanium dioxide spacing to modifying a coating’s mechanical properties and achieving improved color stability, intensity and brilliance.
Jan Buberl, Vice President Color Pigments and Timber Treatment at Venator, said: “Venator is the team to talk to at ACS, whether you want a specialist pigment for a UV-reflective coating; a tough anti-corrosion system for an extreme coating application; or an additive to prevent in-can skin formation. Experts in pigments and additives, we’ve got one of the biggest product portfolios available in the coatings sector - backed by a strong manufacturing footprint in America, including our color pigments production plant in Augusta, Georgia. We’ve exhibited at ACS many times before but look forward to our first event as Venator. As always, our focus will be on talking to our customers about current formulations and working out how our pigments and additives can help them deliver technically advanced coatings and inks.”
